What you will do:

As a Quality Engineer, you will be working as part of the Business Operations group within Operations and Supplier Quality. Our team manages our core supplier quality requirements that are flowed down to suppliers. Additionally, we facilitate decisions on quality-related issues that come from our programs and suppliers. These requirements and transactions are managed within our SAP system, PRISM.

The manufacturing locations our team supports span across the country and we are very flexible on Raytheon work site location because of the nature of the job. This position is primarily onsite, though meetings and improvement teams may be managed through Zoom and/or Microsoft Teams as needed to support many different locations.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Establishing supplier quality flow down requirements for components, assemblies or mechanical parts based on drawing review.
  • Investigation and resolution of supplier exceptions to supplier quality requirements. Work with program leadership to facilitate and execute decisions and associated approvals.
  • Support management of Raytheon Approved Supplier Listings and Vendor Control Systems including recommendations for scope changes.
  • Document and manage supplier quality requirements and issues within Raytheon PRISM SAP system.
  • Lead projects in support of supplier quality improvement opportunities.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Technical Discipline (such as Engineering or Quality) OR an Advanced Degree in STEM with a minimum of 3 years of related engineering experience
  • Experience managing quality requirements flow down to suppliers.
  • Experience working with engineering drawings and quality engineering concepts, such as APQP or CORE Principals
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Understanding and experience with supplier chain and procurement processes.
  • Experience in problem solving and coordinating solutions to problems.
  • Understanding of business processes, metrics and the relationship between them.
  • Working knowledge of statistical mathematics and statistical process control tools.
  • SAP (PRISM) product knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong facilitating and team-coordination skills including ability to lead by influence.
  • Experience generating, reviewing, and / or implementing policies and procedures.
  • General knowledge of aerospace / defense products and systems technologies, regulations and standards.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with Quality Management System requirements (ISO9001, AS9100).

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
