As an Operational Excellence Lead, you will partner with business and operations leaders and their teams to optimize business, and manufacturing processes and develop talent within the operating system. Your expertise and guidance in the use of CORE tools and methods delivered in a series of activities, events, and projects will facilitate transformation and maturity within the teams resulting in greater KPI achievement.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Facilitate events/activities to deliver tailored value to our customers and positively affect KPI.


  • Coach and mentor teams to develop an understanding of and engagement with the CORE tools empowering them to become self-sufficient in deploying effective continuous improvement plans.


  • Plan, lead and execute the implementation of the CORE Operating System across Avionics Domains.


  • Improve processes to enable On-time delivery to our customers and drive KPI improvement to support EBIT growth.


  • Use tools to improve cost/spend, including productivity/efficiency in Business/Manufacturing processes.


  • Establish, monitor, and improve KPI's and implementation processes within Domains.


  • Navigate IT Systems (SharePoint, web-based content delivery, etc.).


  • Lead special projects as needed.


  • Act as a culture champion and change agent educating leaders on effective change management techniques.

QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience oran Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.


  • 6+ years of experience as a continuous improvement specialist.


  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:

  • Lean Practitioner, Six Sigma Certified (or equivalent).


  • Certified Lean Transformation Leader.


  • Polished, effective presentation skills with proven success translating complex data and concepts to create actionable stories for senior leadership consumption.


  • Proven success driving tangible process improvements in both Business and Manufacturing Processes.


  • Proven success leading cross-functional teams within a complex and sometimes ambiguous matrix organization.


  • Deep knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices (TPS based), Business Process Improvement.


  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.


  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
