What You Will Do

Materials and Process Engineering (MPE) delivers advanced material solutions, manufacturing processes, analytical tools & methods and inspection technologies to enable system-level differentiation and increased customer value. MPE is comprised of materials technology leaders and experts who support the development, production and safe, reliable operation of commercial and military engines.

Pratt & Whitney's Materials & Processes Engineering (MPE) organization is seeking a Nondestructive Evaluations (NDE) engineer for training suppliers and customers in unique NDT procedures. Key customers include, but are not limited to the U.S. Air Force, airlines and PW Programs. The responsibilities include deployment /training of new and existing applications for Pratt and Whitney components at various locations around the world. Training/deployment of inspection methods includes eddy current, ultrasonic, thermal, FPI, X-Ray, visual (BSI), etc.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• B.S. in Engineering or Material science is required.
• Minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience
• Ability to communicate with internal and external customers and suppliers
• US person status is required
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
• Willingness to travel to engage with customers and suppliers

Qualifications We Prefer:

• NDE degree is preferred
• Graduate degrees in Engineering are a plus
• Security clearance is a plus
• Demonstrated success in working across multi-functional organizations, and all levels of management
• Exhibited clear and effective communication, both verbal and written
• Confirmed effectiveness as a detail-oriented individual that possesses the ability to prioritize, organize, and multi-task in a flexible, fast-paced, and challenging environment to effectively meet deadlines

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
