This is a seven-month co-op beginning June 2025 - December 2025 and the work will be completed at the Aguadilla site in Puerto Rico. It is only eligible for current students with a graduation date past May 2026. Candidate must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment.
What You Will Do
- Support Change Requests (CRs) by preparing detailed reports and executing key activities in support to the Design team.
- Support the development and automation of status reports by the implementation of Visual Basic Applications (VBA) tools.
- Collect, clean and postprocess strain gauge data from LILAC (Company property software)
Qualifications You Must Have
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
- Basic understanding in programing languages such as MATLAB and Python.
- Ability to read and understand technical processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English and Spanish).
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the information under this program/contract
Qualifications We Prefer
- Knowledge of NX or Catia CAD software is a plus.
- Experience interacting with configuration management (CM) is preferred.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), Tolerance Stack up Calculation, Weight Analysis, etc.
- Basic experience with some of these software and programing languages:
- ANSYS (APDL or Workbench), ABAQUS, PATRAN / NASTRAN, MATLAB, VBA, NX CAD/CAM or Catia CAD/CAM.
- Displays education experience with computer software languages such as C++, Phyton, MATLAB, etc.
