Raytheon Mechanical Engineering leads in hardware design, development and production of radar, sonar, torpedo, and combat system equipment. The ME Team uses state-of the-art tools, processes, technology, and RMD's Six Sigma principles. MPT's capabilities encompass a broad range of technical disciplines which include engineering, manufacturing, technical services, materials, processes, analysis, test, and documentation.

The Air Defense Ground Equipment (ADGE) Department leads mechanical design, development, and integration of platform systems. This includes shelter systems, hardware integration, cable & interconnections, as well as facility development, and site integration. The department is comprised of individuals with technical expertise and experience in hardware design, integration, and production support.
The ADGE Department is looking for a Mechanical Engineer II to join the MCAD (Mechanical Computer-Aided Design) team.
This position is located in Tewksbury, MA (On-site)
What You Will Do:
- Perform mechanical design, development, and documentation of components, sub-assemblies, and major end items for defense system equipment in accordance with system requirements.
- Interface with other engineering disciplines, non-technical disciplines, and suppliers to develop design solutions and resolve technical challenges.
- Factory and supplier support of product integration domestically and internationally
- Support development, evaluation, and analysis of mechanical designs.
- Drawing generation, drawing release, and drawing change incorporation
- Resolution of change requests from manufacturing or suppliers
- Holding design reviews and resolving action items
- Development of rework and/or modification procedures
- Support the production floor on a regular basis, collecting issues, providing status and participate in problem resolution.
- Utilize CREO CAD tool for modeling and documentation creation.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
- 2 years engineering design experience with a focus on hardware development
- Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools or CREO
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Value:
- Experience in Sheet Metal and CREO Cabling.
- Experience in PDM
- Experience in multiple CAD Design Tools - SolidWorks/CATIA/AutoCAD
- Solid understanding of configuration management practices
- Experience in technical risk management, Earned Value Management (EVM), reporting of task metrics/analysis, and developing cost proposal estimates.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
