As a Shipping & Receiving Specialist, you'll be at the core of our logistics operations, playing a crucial role in the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) of our Evacuation Systems. What You Will Do:
- Receive shipment requirements for delivery and follow procedures to include routing guidelines.
- Prepare shipping documentation and ensure completeness of details and requirements based on Global Trade Compliance and Government Agency Requirements.
- Book shipments with various couriers and forwarders.
- Adhere to functional group KPI and provide feedback for opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Maintain records and keep documents of all shipments based on requirements.
- Load/unload inbound/outbound shipments validating material against shipping documentation.
- Use of material handling equipment to include Drills, Banding Straps, etc.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
- General housekeeping.
- Perform related duties as required within the scope of this job function.
- DOT / FAA Random Drug and Alcohol Testing Program.
Qualifications We Require:
- Typically requires a HS diploma and 1 year of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience is required.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.
- Obtain forklift certification.
- Obtain DOT and IATA Certifications.
- Computer skills to include data entry of received materials, entering shipping information, etc.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office.
- Manufacturing industry experience.
- Previous shipping/receiving experience.
