Collins Aerospace Maintenance Repairs Operation (MRO) site in Santa Fe Springs is looking for a Materials Associate II to join their team. This position is responsible for the shipping and receiving of goods to and from our customers/suppliers. Furthermore, this role will play an active part in interacting and setting up deliveries to support our business.

Location: Onsite at the Santa Fe Springs, CA facility

Hours: 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM, Monday to Friday

What You Will Do

  • Shipping and receiving of goods that will support our operations.
  • Use assistance and/or powered mechanical means to load, store and deliver a variety of incoming and outgoing material. (Powered Industrial Vehicle)
  • Prepare and package small and large parts using proper procedures and materials.
  • Process purchase orders for spare tooling and materials.
  • Proficiently use computer hardware/software.
  • Oversee parts preparation, material handling, measuring and packing equipment; records calibration logs of tools and equipment.
  • Perform operator preventative maintenance tasks and refers major breakdowns to machine maintenance.
  • Oversee inventory and maintain all government tooling property according to military regulations.
  • Maintain contact with personnel from various customer and supports areas to ensure accuracy of material/process.
  • Use assorted measuring and weight recording devices.
  • Keep equipment and surrounding areas neat and clean.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • HS diploma with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience is required.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62
  • 1 year of Experience working in a manufacturing and or, warehouse facilities environment is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP experience preferred, but not required
  • Powered Industrial Vehicle experience preferred, but not required.
