FUNCTION:
Plan, check and perform material handling duties to receive, inspect, prepare, store, move, inventory, maintain traceability, issue and dispose of parts, tools and materials. Perform routine calibrations. Define and perform minor rework; investigate and correct inventory discrepancies. Maintain the flow of work while complying with environmental, health and safety directions and procedures.
DUTIES:
• You will receive, maintain, disburse, inspect, prepare and disposition material and tooling to support production schedules and to comply with customer-owned property requirements.

• You will interface with customers and Government personnel to disposition customer-owned property.
• You will perform work from verbal and written instructions, blueprints, procedures and methods.
• You will participate in developing and documenting operational methods for inventory and material handling.
• You will inspect and verify hardware for proper configuration on receipt and stamp parts list prior to disbursement.
• You will issue, control and maintain traceability for all end-assemblies, sub-assemblies, and details to meet contract and customer requirements.
• You will inspect fixtures and tooling for conformance to blueprint and condition.
• You will define and perform rework needed for tooling and fixtures including cleaning, deburring and replacing of standard parts.
• You will perform dimensional measuring of hardware, tools and equipment using instruments such as scales, micrometers, verniers, height gages and pin plugs.
• You will handle, segregate, label, maintain and disburse limited-life and fracture critical material to meet customer specifications.
• You will participate in the investigation and disposition of nonconforming material.
• You will perform routine calibrations on equipment such as pressure gages and torque wrenches.
• You will perform storage, maintenance and recall of metrology controlled equipment.
• You will use various computer databases and systems to maintain inventory and material handling tasks.
• You will investigate and resolve physical inventory and paperwork discrepancies.
• You will set-up, operate and maintain rough stores equipment such as automatic bandsaw, abrasive cutting machine and power shear.
• You will operate forklift and swing-reach vehicles to retrieve and transport tooling, material and hardware.
• You will transport, dispense and store hazardous materials such as anhydrous ammonia, hydrazine, explosives, liquid nitrogen, high-pressure gas bottles, aluminum powder, cotton flocking and fumed silica fiber.
• You will instruct fellow employees in the proper performance of duties.
• You will improve processes and solve problems in cooperation with fellow employees and supervision. Develop solutions and follow through with implementation.
• You will participate in the planning, estimating and executing of tasks in support of budget and schedule requirements.
• You will participate in audits.
• You will perform routine maintenance of facilities and equipment such as changing fuses, filters and lights.
• You will keep equipment and surroundings neat, clean and organized.
• You will perform related duties as required within the scope of this job function
