The Value Stream Manager serves as the RRF Operations Lead which assess project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, customer requirements and satisfaction goals and objectives. You will interface and collaborate with the factory operations team and help establish priorities based on the demands of multiple customers. You will also provide regular communication to customers to deliver status and manage expectations.

What You Will Do

  • Involves direct support of manufacturing activities and requires spending significant amounts of time in and around factory areas.
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring program progress and for interventions and problem solving with program managers, operations managers, and customers.
  • Constantly communicates and provides status and updates on program progress and performance as it relates to cost, quality, and schedule.
  • Works closely with operations, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, and production control.
  • Results oriented person as demonstrated through prior work performance and education.
  • The candidate must be capable and willing to work extended hours (when required) in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
  • This is an onsite role.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a university degree (or equivalent experience) with eight (8) years of relevant experience in manufacturing, machining or operations or an advanced degree with five (5) years' prior relevant experience in manufacturing, machining and/or operations.
  • Prior program/project management or personnel leadership/mentorship experience.
  • Experience in customer, vendor and/or supplier management
  • Prior work with component prototypes, start-up manufacturing environment and/or a factory developing original or first model elements.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience in Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing policies and procedures and/or experience with working a precision metal fabrication shop.
  • Experience in proposals and / or budget management.
  • Customer relationship management including relationship building, collaboration, and execution.
  • Experience with Inner Office Transfers and Purchase Order generation/management.
  • Experience working with SAP/PRISM/Windchill/ERP systems to interpret demand/capacity for the factory.
  • Earned Value Certification with Control/Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience. Attain Level 6 Program Management Certification within one year of start date
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing concepts and/or implementation.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
