Collins Aerospace is looking for a talented Manufacturing, Operations Supervisor for our Largo, FL facility. This is a 1st Shift Position. As the Manufacturing Front Line Leader (FLL), you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our production team. You'll lead, inspire, and coach a dedicated group of bargaining unit employees, driving their development and fostering a strong team spirit. Reporting directly to the Factory Manager, you'll take full ownership of the performance and productivity of your product team. Your leadership will be the key to delivering results, from hands-on training to strategic team-building initiatives. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for the development of a flexible and cross-trained workforce Daily performance which entails the execution to MRP, Takt time, daily goals.
  • Responsible for the management of Tiered Accountability (Levels 1 & 2).
  • Monitor safety performance of the team and insure the proper Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is available and being used appropriately, and insure proper resources are available
  • Coordinate PTO and overtime consistent with policy, law and the current collective bargaining agreement
  • Meet schedule commitments while keeping team motivated and focused
  • Utilize proper corrective actions, discipline and rewards and recognition consistent with policy, law and the current collective bargaining agreement
  • Must insure all employees are treated fairly and consistently. This will require a thorough understanding of Company policies and procedures, rules of conduct, the current collective bargaining agreement and the proper use of discretion in the application of these elements
  • Promote Diversity and Wellness programs
  • Accountable for team cost performance
  • Must be committed to process improvement and supportive of business initiatives including Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing
  • Approve labor charging and correct inaccuracies as required, while monitoring and recording employee attendance
  • Identify opportunities to develop employee skills and insure the proper coordination with the appropriate functions to make sure this occurs
  • Attend and participate in department meetings - lead daily IPT meetings
  • Communicate and lead other support personnel
  • Insure your team is communicated with and provide necessary and timely flow down of information
  • Keep management informed and bring up barriers so that they may be properly dealt with
  • Understand and communicate Quality/Cost/Schedule metrics
  • Maintain a neat and order work area, while maintaining physical security of classified documents, hardware and software and assure employees, customers and visitors have proper clearance and that badges are properly displayed
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience as a team builder, coach and facilitator, and successfully integrate, motivate and direct a diverse range of employees
  • Ability to accomplish tasks through successful supervision of bargaining unit employees
  • BS/BA in Operations/Manufacturing, Business, Engineering or any related discipline
  • Current U.S. government issued SECRET security clearance.
  • Manufacturing/Ops experience within the Aerospace and Defense industry

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
