This position Manufacturing Engineering Technician - MEMS is on the manufacturing engineering team offering direct support to the manufacture of micro electrical/mechanical pressure sensing devices in a cleanroom environment. This includes cross functional collaboration with various organizational functions (Design Engineering, Program Office, Operations, Quality Engineering, Etc.) to ensure tasks are completed to mitigate production holds.

As a Manufacturing Engineering Technician - MEMS, you will operate in a highly collaborative engineering environment in tandem with manufacturing engineers supporting their task work. You will balance and prioritize a variety of tasks and competing priorities supporting the manufacturing engineers. The manufacturing engineering team is focused on creatively applying engineering knowledge to efficiently solve complex manufacturing problems. This is an onsite role that will put you right were the action is. This position offers growth and development opportunities through mentorship from senior engineers.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Perform preventative maintenance and repair of Etch/CVD/Sputtering Semiconductor equipment. This may include Dry Etch/CVD vacuum systems, chemical wet etch equipment, gas supply cabinets, and metrology.
- Interface with production teams and engineers to understand equipment faults and provide solutions.
- Conducts planning and scheduling of maintenance activities, including interface with outside vendors for troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repair.
- Procures spare parts and maintains inventory for production equipment. Understands spare parts requirements and proactively plans for future needs.
- Document equipment issues, processes, and procedures.
- Must be self-motivated and able to self-manage workflow with minimal direction.
- Work as part of a team to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
- Multitask several items/demands at a time.
- Participate in safety and quality initiatives and investigations as required.
- Prompt response to emergency maintenance requests.
- Primarily supports 1st shift operations, but occasional off-hours/emergency work may be required.
- Perform technical tasks based on written or verbal instructions.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, calibration or modification of hardware, fixtures, and software.
- Apply technical expertise in the evaluation, development, maintenance, and use of complex products, devices, tests, or procedures under constantly changing conditions where moderate ingenuity and judgments are required.
- Utilize technical assets.
- Use hand and power tools.
- Demonstrate safe work procedures.
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Participate on and/or lead project teams.
- Provide technical solutions to engineering.
- All other tasks and duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
- Learn multiple Semiconductor processing areas/equipment.
- Willing to learn and help support other wafer fabrication areas. Existing team is well cross-trained and candidates for this role will be expected to contribute to this team approach effort.
QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:
- Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience.
- 5+ years of Semiconductor and/or MEMS cleanroom fabrication experience.

QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:
- Proficiency in navigating SAP.
- Basic CAD modeling/drawing ability.
- Cleanroom Manufacturing industry experience.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively identify and resolve issues and mitigate risks.

The salary range for this role is 56,000 USD - 112,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
