What You Will Do:
Columbus Forge, a recognized leader in producing disks and airfoils for the aerospace propulsion market, is looking for dedicated individuals to support our organization. We have an opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to be based in Columbus, GA.
This is a B-shift opportunity. Selected candidate will need to train on 1st shift for 3-6 months prior to transitioning to B-shift.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering support for production operations including process support, troubleshooting, machine setup, and root cause analysis within the machining business unit.
- Collect and analyze data to identify adverse trends and improvement opportunities.
- Obtain and maintain knowledge of machining techniques and processes for manufacturing.
- Interpret requirements to develop and maintain processes to manufacture parts and tooling to engineering drawing requirements.
- Assist in electronic work instruction update and creation for manufacturing use.
- Interpret manufacturing inspection data to ensure product meets engineering requirements.
- Be able to work in a team environment. Be able to handle multi-tasking duties.
- Demonstrate commitment to the EH&S and continuous improvement programs by complying with all policies and procedures, completing all required training, and supporting all applicable committee activities.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- 3 years technical experience
- 1 year manufacturing experience
- Experience troubleshooting manufacturing processes or machines
Qualifications We Prefer:
- CNC Machine operating and setup experience
- 2 year technical certificate or associates degree
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- SAP experience
