Collins Aerospace is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the Quality Assurance function for our Altis business in Savannah, Georgia. Reporting to the Site Director, you will ensure supplier, product, and process quality meets both internal and regulatory standards, driving continuous improvement. You'll manage a team of Quality Inspectors, NDT Technicians, and Quality Engineers, overseeing hiring, development, and performance management. This position will be part of the site management team and will work closely with the Business Unit Director to help drive positive improvements across all business functions.

What You Will Do:

  • Leads and develops the Quality organization
  • Establishes key elements of Quality Engineering operational plans and initiatives with a direct impact on reducing nonconformities and ensuring quality standards are in effect.
  • Develops and leads implementation of solutions to nonconformities and to satisfy quality issues raised by customers.
  • Leads the development of new test and inspection plans, methods, and technologies to assure the reliability and conformance of products and processes.
  • Directs Escape management procedures, root cause analysis, develops recommendations for corrective action for design problems for internally produced products & processes.
  • Ensures all requirements are met for work transfer and process change management, including Resourcing Gate and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) acceptance.
  • Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation, control systems and protocols for materials being processed into partially finished or finished products.
  • Working with product design and specification, devises testing plans, methods and equipment to assure reliability of product
  • Collaborates internally to ensure quality standards are in effect.
  • Ensures that projects and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts.
  • Identifies and manages risk in product development primarily utilizing and driving APQP core elements (e.g. PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, etc.).
  • Develops proactive quality initiative strategies and drives their implementation.
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position
  • Ability to work with multifunctional teams on all levels

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Quality Inspection background
  • GD&T experience
  • Prior Supervisory experience
  • Experience leading projects
  • Familiarity with inspection tooling and techniques,
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a group setting and interface directly with shop floor management,
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge / experience with quality systems and standards such as AS 9100.
  • Ability to prioritize workload in a high-pressure environment and multitask as required
  • ASQ -CQE certification a plus

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
