We're on the lookout for a dynamic and skilled Metrology Engineering Manager to join our team in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. As the Metrology Engineering Manager, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the test equipment, measurement tools, and coordinate-measuring machines (CMMs) that support the production of high-quality aerospace assemblies. You will oversee a diverse team of salaried and hourly team members, working collaboratively across our Windsor Locks campus to maintain the highest standards of measurement and calibration.

What You Will Do
- Foster a diverse culture of engaged and committed employees.
- Support site Quality Management System in accordance with current quality standards.
- Work cross functionally resolving measurement system/equipment/rig problems with product quality, design engineering, and manufacturing engineering, impacting operations and customers.
- Develop, design, and support systems, processes, methods and procedures for calibrating Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE).
- Provide technical support to Metrology lab technicians.
- Create, revise instrumentation specifications.
- Analyze and research calibration standards and processes.
- Develop training plans and materials.
- Support, grow, and mentor team of metrology engineers and technicians.

Qualifications You Must Have
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62
- Typically requires University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience using Aerospace drawings, specifications and manufacturing processes
- Experience in design and development of calibration equipment to support testing rigs
- Experience with ISO 17025, ISO 10012, ANSI Z540, Col-Pro-0021
- Experience with IndySoft Metrology software
- Experience with Dimensional Layout, CMM Operation, Gas Flow, Fluid Flow, Pressure, Vacuum, Torque, Temperature, Load/Force, Environmental effects and requirements for calibration, Light calibration, Vibration, Electronics, Adequacy of Measurement Standards, Understanding of Evaluation of Calibration Intervals.
- Prior supervisory experience leading teams of quality engineering professionals

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
