Brief Department Description

The RTX Enterprise Services Strategic Affordability Analysis (SAA) organization has an immediate need for financial professionals to provide overall financial support for the Raytheon Division's Supply Chain and Estimating & Pricing organizations. We are seeking individuals to join our team as Manager, FP&A. This role will provide leadership and vision in our Strategic Affordability Analysis organization by analyzing supplier proposals, participating in determining material strategy and participating in supplier negotiations. Your work product will have a direct impact on Raytheon's competitive posture in the defense marketplace and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will work closely with employees across Supply Chain, Finance, Estimating & Pricing, Engineering & Operations. For these reasons, a strong background in accounting, cost accounting, estimating & pricing, financial planning & analysis and analytical techniques is desired.

JOB DESCRIPTION

What you will do:

  • Perform in-depth analysis of supplier pricing proposals, by analyzing all aspects of supplier cost structures, including analysis and recommendations for labor costs, material costs, indirect cost rate structures, other direct costs and profit.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and protect Raytheon bookings by completing independent assessments of fair and reasonable supplier pricing proposals. (Federal Acquisition Regulations, Cost Accounting Standards, General Accepted Accounting Practices)
  • Lead analyst working closely with Raytheon's Estimating and Pricing, Supply Chain, Program Management and Engineering organizations.
  • Main "go-to" person for SAA Leadership team, representing SAA at internal and external meetings.
  • Review and approve cost and price analysis reports.
  • Travel approximately 10-15% of the time to supplier / Raytheon locations for audit and negotiation purposes. (International & Domestic)

Qualifications you must have

  • This role typically requires a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related discipline and 8+ years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experience.
  • At least 5 years experience in Finance, Cost Accounting Business, or Industrial/Manufacturing functions with Leadership Ability to train employees
  • At least 3 years experience leading cross-functional teams by influencing without authority.
  • At least 5 years experience and knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations, Cost Accounting Standards and GAAP.
  • Demonstrated understanding of proposed labor, material, other direct costs, direct and indirect rates and profit structures.
  • Proficient in MS Office including advanced Excel skills such as: Array Formulas, Sum product, Pivot Table, Pivot Charts, Power Pivot, Macros & VBA.

Required Security Clearance:

  • This position requires the eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Work Authorization Status

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

  • Demonstrated utilization of appropriate analytical techniques to determine reasonableness of supplier proposed costs

  • Must be willing to work hybrid from one of the following major Enterprise Services hubs: Tucson Az or Dallas/Richardson, TX

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
