Collins Aerospace Global Engineering & Technology Center in Puerto Rico (GETC-PR) is looking to hire an Engineering Services Manager like you with experience in Project Management, Supplier Request for Information (SRI) process, Configuration Management (CM) process, Engineering Change Request (CR) process and Product Life Cycle Management (PLM). In this role, you will oversee a muti-disciplinary engineering team that focus in analyzing requests, audit changes, monitor outstanding engineering work items and support Supplier Request for Information process under the Power & Controls Strategic Business Unit.

This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.

What YOU will do:

  • Lead and oversight a team that supports Engineering Change process and analyze engineering change requests, audit changes, and monitor outstanding engineering work.
  • Lead and oversight a team that supports Supplier Request for Information (SRI) process and activities to include monitor spending on Supply Chain SRI budget, lead work collaboration within engineering disciplines and other functions (Programs, Production, Quality, Supply Chian), lead internal process improvements, develop new strategies and/or modify current policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SRI and Configuration Management and Engineering Change Request processes in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM system) including analyzing product documentation for consistency of information, assessing interchangeability, routing for approval, auditing performance, coordinate change request with product engineering (Design/Drafting) and other functional groups.
  • Provide general oversight for the team performance to ensure timely incorporation of change releases, generated x-class requests, proper document marking is achieved, and submittal of technical engineering correspondences are timely completed according to process requirements.
  • Engage with all Power & Controls' Business Units and Product Line leaders to explore collaboration opportunities, evaluate productivity-efficiency, and lead process improvements both internally and at corporate level.
  • Manage a team of engineers to assign technical resources to work assignments, define individual and team objectives, analyze workload and team growth opportunities, develop and lead a staffing strategy, provide technical guidance and coaching, and lead the team knowledge/skills development over time.
  • Define, implement, and track individual and team performance metrics, conduct annual reviews, performance discussions and regular one on ones with the team.

Qualifications YOU must have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 6 years of relevant experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Experience in managing programs or parts of a program including successfully managing small group of engineers under technical guidance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience in creating career development programs to ensure skills and performance of employees meet the organization's current and future needs.
  • BS and/or MS in Industrial Engineering.
  • Previous experience working in the aerospace industry with working knowledge of industry standards, Configuration Management, Engineering Changes and SRI processes.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Project/Program Management.
  • General understanding of Engineering/Manufacturing/Quality Process and Practices.
  • Experience working with projects and teams within a highly matrixed organization.
  • Experience in the following tools:
