What You Will Do
- Our Springdale, AR facility employs over 200 employees and provides critical support to the aftermarket operations of our engine portfolio. We are looking for Machinist Technicians/Experienced Machine Operators for 2nd shift (5 positions available).
- 2nd shift hours are Monday-Friday, 3:00PM to 11:30PM.
- You will receive a shift differential when working on 2nd Shift of 8%.
- All new employees will train on 1st shift for the first 6-8 months. The 1st shift training hours are Monday-Friday, 6:30AM to 3:00PM.
- Set-up and operate conventional, special purpose, and computerized numeric control (CNC) machines to fabricate and repair metallic and non-metallic parts.
- Read blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications to determine machine and set-up requirements.
- Set-up and prepare includes: set up of fixtures, tools, attachments, and accessories.
- Operator level maintenance of machine and set up documents.
- Use measuring devices like micrometers, calipers, to ensure specifications are met.
- Maintain a clean work environment
- PSD is a clean, well-lit, state-of-the-art machining center in a climate-controlled facility. Overtime opportunity may be available, after a period of training.
- Pratt & Whitney PSD is an FAA regulated facility, and compliance with such rules is a condition of employment.
Qualifications You Must Have
- HS Diploma or GED Equivalent
- 2 years of machining experience/training to include set-up of fixtures, tools, attachments, and accessories.
- Previous experience/training reading blueprints, drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine machining and set-up requirements.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Technical trade school degree in machining
- 5+ years of machining experience
- FANUC Controller experience
- Experience with VTL, Lathes, and/or Mills

- Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is - . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
