Raytheon is seeking a Logistics Team Lead for our Aurora, CO facility. The logistics team lead will work with staff to provide daily oversight and guidance. This position will maintain responsibility for the implementation and compliance of safety protocol in the day-to-day operation of the logistics team. The team lead will provide leadership over Logistics functions (receiving, shipping, warehouse and transportation) to meet and exceed customer requirements, while maintaining compliance with all facility and company policies, practices and procedures and FAR government regulations. This role will oversee and support the execution of continuous improvement of logistics processes relating to the safe and efficient receipt, storage, distribution, and shipment of product at the facility. This candidate must be able to build strategic relationships with internal customers to support overall site needs. The team lead will use company business systems to drive improvement, monitor process effectiveness, as well as to anticipate and resolve issues. Reports to site Logistics Manager.

What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for oversight of all logistics operations (receiving, shipping, warehouse and transportation), leading and developing a team of associates
  • Supports all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure safe work practices. Enforces safety standards and JHA's practices to ensure a safe work environment. Ensures proper management of PPE requirements.
  • Lead day-to-day activities within each logistics function, includes but is not limited to communication, problem resolution, service level commitments, and safety reviews.
  • Monitor various departmental performance metrics and objectives to achieve customer promise expectations and ensure service level commitments are achieved
  • Communicate and train tasking requirements to associates and act as the primary information source for the team, taking corrective action when needed
  • Work with local program support teams, mission assurance and government property compliance to satisfy program requirements and maintain a Government Property Control System
  • Work closely with logistics associates to balance support of departmental work flows while ensuring cross training requirements for full required support
  • Applies practical knowledge of interpreting requirements, specifications, directives, regulations and other related technical, contractual, or leadership documents pertinent to logistics
  • Comply with Department of Transportation (DoT) driver and vehicle requirements
  • Be assessed on ability to collaborate with peers and influence the behavior and success of assigned team
  • Performs duties as on-site logistics lead for all functions, during weekend and holiday schedules, when required
  • Participate in and provide input for goal setting, performance reviews and recognition
  • Backfill for Logistics Manager when on PTO, travel, etc.
  • Domestic travel up to 20%
  • Lead a team of exempt/non-exempt employees in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Previous experience as a people manager, team lead, supervisor and/or relevant role.
  • Able to lift to 28 lbs. repeatedly during work hours.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in a logistics role
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of SAP or Prism
  • Logisticians Certification (APICS/Association of Supply Chain Management (ASCM) or other industry certification)

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
