The Instrumentation and Electronics Technician supports the Engineering Laboratory in test and measuring instrumentation setup, test equipment and cable fabrication, calibration and troubleshooting of measuring equipment and instruments.
This position is in the Power & Controls Engineering Laboratory and is an hourly bargaining unit position. The Engineering Laboratory provides experimental testing services for research, development, new product validation and verification, and in-service field problems. The Lab's test facilities are organized into several specialized labs, including Pneumatics, Fuel, Hydro-Mechanical, Electronics/EMI, Vibration, and Metrology Labs. Our development focus is Electric, Environmental, and Engine Systems, Propulsion, and Space Systems.

What You Will Do:
- Installs, tests, calibrates, adjusts, and maintains electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, hydro-mechanical, and pressure type measuring and indicating instruments and associated signal conditioning, including thermocouples, pressure transducers, flowmeters, load cells, and strain gages
- Is familiar with electrical and electronic measurement devices, including DMMs, oscilloscopes, DC power supplies
- Builds and fabricates test equipment and fixtures, installing and wiring various components, units, instrumentation, switches, and controls
- Disassembles, cleans, repairs, and replaces defective parts of test equipment
- Troubleshoots and perform rework (electronic and mechanical)
- Calibrates test rigs and instrumentation to conform to standards
- Sets up calibration sequences, methods, and procedures according to detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, and requirements
- Monitors and verifies Quality in accordance with company-specific and national standards, including ANSI Z540-1 and ISO 17025.
- Coordinates with Engineering in establishing calibration procedures
- Uses computer software and applications, including Microsoft Office
- Maintains detailed records
- 1st Shift 7:30am to 4:30am Monday to Friday
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Must be US citizen
- 3-5 years of applicable (Metrology, Instrumentation, Calibration) experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- High school diploma or GED

- Proficient with reading schematics
- Experience diagnosing technical problems

The salary range for this role $35.94 - $44.99 per hour; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
