What you will do:

Inspection and Measurement:

  • Inspect a variety of electronic units using measuring/inspection instruments such as micrometers, gauges, and calipers with precise techniques.
  • Administer visual and physical inspections of units and subassemblies.

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Read, interpret, and utilize Quality policies, procedures, blueprints, and other documentation.
  • Verify all work order documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Responsible for First Article Inspections and complete related documentation.

Operational Tasks:

  • Perform receiving, in-process, final inspection, and 1st article approval of manufactured, assembled, and tested hardware and components.
  • Complete unit shakedowns to check for foreign objects, rattles, and loose internal hardware.

Computer Systems Operation:

  • Operate computer systems to perform inspection tasks using platforms such as Via Search, JD Edwards, One World, Engineering Information System, and labor charging systems.

Administrative Duties:

  • Perform administrative tasks associated with file management.
  • Conduct Preliminary Material Reviews (PMR) as needed.

Working Hours:

  • Monday through Saturday 6:00pm to 2:30pm.

Qualifications we require:

  • Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position
  • Moderate to advanced computer knowledge with the ability to learn new programs.
  • Proficient in making accurate measurements and maintaining tolerances.
  • Ability to read and understand manuals, procedures, diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Must be able to complete all training to obtain inspection certifications.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and within time constraints.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with little or no direction.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and handle overtime as required.
  • Overtime before or after normal working hours.

Qualifications we prefer:

  • Familiarity with the aviation industry and quality background.
  • Familiarity with First Article Inspection concepts and practices.

The salary range for this role is 36,000 USD - 72,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
