Join Collins Aerospace as an Infrastructure Test Engineer, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our AMQS Gen 4 systems. What You Will Do:
- Linux Testing: Validate distributions, kernel updates, and configurations for security and performance across multiple hardware platforms.
- IBM MQ Testing: Test updates, patches, and releases to ensure seamless integration with AMQS Gen 4.
- Kubernetes Testing: Assess environments, scalability, and security of container orchestration and automated deployments.
- Conduct infrastructure-level testing to support AMQS's continuous improvement cycle.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to identify and resolve issues.
- Develop and execute automated and manual test cases to ensure system resilience and compliance.
- Contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and document findings.
What You Will Learn:
- Advanced Linux system testing and optimization for mission-critical applications.
- Hands-on experience with IBM MQ messaging systems.
- Kubernetes cluster management and automation best practices.
- Insights into how aviation messaging supports airline operations worldwide.
- Agile testing methodologies and CI/CD pipeline integration.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience in infrastructure testing and system administration
- Experience with Linux distributions (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS)
- Experience scripting in Bash, Python, or Ansible to automate testing procedures.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- IBM MQ experience to include installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience in a high-availability, real-time system environment.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized application deployments.
- Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring, logging, and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, firewalls, and security best practices.
- Familiarity with aviation industry standards and compliance requirements.

The salary range for this role is 90,000 USD - 182,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
