You will be responsible for overseeing the deployment and delivery of new ACARS ground stations. You will combine project management expertise with strong technical knowledge of ACARS systems, circuits delivery and networking technologies. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder communications, and ensure that all ground station installations meet performance, timeline, and budgetary requirements.

What YOU Will Do

  • Serve as project technical lead for the deployment, modernization and relocation needs of ACARS datalink services group.


  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, budgets, and risk mitigation.


  • Maintain accurate and organized project documentation.


  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with vendors and partners within and outside of the organization.


  • Provide financial oversight of projects. Managing quotes, purchase orders and vendor requirements


  • Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively manages changes and escalations.


  • Participate in designing and documenting process solutions.

Qualifications YOU Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience oran Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience


  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract


  • Prior project management experience

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Proven track record in managing complex technical projects involving networking, circuits delivery, communication systems, or similar technologies.


  • Ideally in the aviation or telecommunications industry.


  • Infrastructure Project Management background: Telecommunications, Networking technologies, circuits delivery: MPLS, DIA, ACARS knowledge preferred.


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or aviation related field.


  • Project Management certification or equivalent is preferred.


  • Fluent/Bilingual Spanish speaker.


  • Familiarity with ACARS or other aircraft communications technologies.


  • Leadership and team management abilities.


  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering results under tight deadlines.

The salary range for this role is 72,000 USD - 144,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
