We are seeking a Hardware Quality Engineer with hands-on hardware quality experience to become a key part of Operations Quality in SAW Module on 2nd shift. Here at Raytheon, our Operations Quality Team assures product and process quality with an emphasis on Product Compliance, Customer Satisfaction and Continuous Improvement.

This is a 2nd shift onsite position and an 8% shift differential will be included in your total compensation.

What You Will Do
- Lead continuous improvement projects with an emphasis on reducing cost of poor quality (CoPQ) and increasing factory first pass yield (FPY)
- Facilitate and lead cross-functional teams in failure analysis, Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, including identifying non-conformances, providing solutions, tracking issues to closure and leading Corrective Action Boards (CAB)
- Analyze factory data and regularly generate, publish, and present quality metrics
- Participate in Defect Prevention Team (DPT) meetings with the cross functional teams to trend data, prioritize investigations, and status actions to improve production quality
- Conduct AS9102 First Article Inspections
- Ensure identification, physical control, and disposition of non-conforming material and facilitate Material Review Board (MRB) when necessary
- Support work instruction development and maintenance activities by reviewing work instructions, test instructions, auditing processes, and assuring configuration management
- Daily status meetings with the factory support, factory management, hourly employees, and internal stakeholders to manage production quality
- Engage in process walks, operator observations, and manufacturing team discussions
- High degree of interaction with operators, test engineering, process engineering and operations staff, requiring effective organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
Qualification You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum 2 years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in STEM
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with schematic and/or other technical drawings
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Basic knowledge of Statistical Process Controls and Capability analysis.
- Working experience in driving cost reduction or quality yield improvement projects.
- Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection Requirements.
- Six Sigma, CORE, Shainin RedX Problem Solving, or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification.
- Data analysis; development and usage of actionable metrics.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
