This opportunity is for the SIPRNet Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Systems Administrator position at Raytheon Land & Air Defense Systems Relocatable Over-the-Horizon Radar (ROTHR) site in Chesapeake, VA. The SIPRNet RHEL Systems Administrator is responsible for day-to-day administration of the ROTHR Global Command and Control System-Joint (GCCS-J) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) servers including installation and maintenance of Linux Trellix ESS components, DATs, application of STIGs, execution of SCAP scans, and remediation of ACAS vulnerability findings.

What You Will Do:
- Install, configure, and maintain networked Linux and Windows systems to support mission requirements
- Implement and manage data security protocols, including access controls and
- encryption with account management and two-factor authentication implementation
- Perform software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages in accordance with program directives
- Collaborate with ISSO and system administrators to integrate new features
- and resolve vulnerability issues
- Work with team members to ensure technology is effectively supporting the enterprise and our customers
- Maintain comprehensive Program of Record documentation, including data standards,
- procedures, and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) checklists and preform SCAP scans monthly
- Support multiple system accreditation RMF efforts (e.g., site or enclave ATO
- requirements)
Qualifications You Must Have:
- DoD 8570 Workforce IAT Level II compliance - Active CompTIA Security+ and Linux + certifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Cyber Security, or a related field of study with 5 years of applicable experience or 9 years of applicable experience in lieu of degree
- Must have extensive experience operating Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server and services 6+ years' experience with administration and operation of Linux servers
- Experience as system administrator for GCCS operations and managing Agile clients on windows workstations
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance and to obtain any required Export Authorization.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Familiarity with GCCS-J, Agile Client, VMware, and End Point Security
- Experience with Tenable ACAS Security Center and Nessus Manager
- Experience with VMware Servers and virtual machine
- Tactical data feeds are a plus
- Experience with STIGs, SCAP requirements is a plus
- Experience installing, configuring, hardening, and maintaining Linux servers, performing software installations and upgrades to operating systems and COTS/GOTS applications.
- Knowledge of Service Management disciplines engagement, design, delivery and maintenance lifecycles in a high technology or IT services domain.
- Ability to work with limited supervision. Must be a self-starter with initiative
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A strong understanding and knowledge of computer, network, and security systems
- Professional demeanor, good interpersonal skills, and ability to excel in a
- high-paced multi-tasked environment

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. This position is located in Chesapeake, Virginia at Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads Northwest Annex. Effective applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to the military installation.
The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
