Collins Aerospace in Spokane WA is hiring for a motivated entry level Furnace Operator I. In this position you will be responsible for the production of carbon-carbon composite production and other key industry technology.
Collins is an industry leader in the research, development and production of Carbon brake components for the aerospace industry.
- You will part of a team-oriented atmosphere and interact with other functional groups (e.g., engineering) on technical matters.
- You will have the gain the knowledge of all pertinent customer and company specifications including but not limited to international standards relating to the production of carbon-carbon brake components & company policies.

Shift: Our Operators love our 4 on - 4 off schedule, 7:00am - 7:00pm, rotating between day/night shift every 6 weeks.
+$2.75/hr shift differential paid on both day and night shifts.
The salary range for this role is $34,902.40 to $47,216 with an additional 16 hours/month in average of built-in overtime; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
What YOU will LEARN: Training Provided
- You will learn and assist with operation of equipment used for product processing (furnaces, pumps, blowers, etc.).
- You will learn and perform Equipment Preventative Maintenance.
- We will teach you to how to operate support equipment such as: Forklifts, Scissor Lifts, Power Tools, etc.
- You will learn and assist with data entry requirements and process documentation.
- You will adhere to and learn all engineering instruction, standard operation procedures, and all departmental procedures.
- You will complete department training program in the time allotted.
- You will meet the target productivity levels established for the department.
- You will complete tasks as assigned by your management team.
- You will maintain a clean and organized work area.
- You may be exposed to heights, fumes, confined spaces, airborne particles, noise, high/low temperatures and/or moving equipment (PPE provided in all cases).
- You must be able to use fall protection system for which a robust training program is provided.
- You must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
- You will observe and follow all environmental, health and safety procedures.
- You will comply with all other company policies and procedures.
- You will be working in areas where respirators are required, the employee must meet the shaving requirements to ensure a proper respirator fit.
Training will be provided for:
- Big Joe
- Riveters both manual and automated
- Scales, calipers, micrometers
- Bar Code Scanning Equipment
- Various tools (mixes, hotplates, etc.)
- Automated Oxidation coating station
- Oxidation bake out Ovens.
- Power and pneumatic equipment.
Required Qualifications you must have - Education & Experience:
- HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.
- Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder.
- You must have the ability to work 4 days on/4 days off - 12-hour shifts, rotating days to nights every 6 weeks.
