Raytheon's Product Support and Field Engineering team is looking for a Field Engineering Manager to perform the direct line management for approximately 50 - 100 local and offsite field engineers who support Raytheon products at both CONUS and OCONUS locations.

In this role you will maintain accountability and authority for assigned personnel and programs. You will serve as the primary contact and liaison between customers and Raytheon Field Engineering management and are responsible for meeting contractual (cost, schedule, and performance) commitments. You are responsible for the supervision and integration of the performance of the field engineers into the program teams.
This position can be in any Raytheon office location.
The position requires travel of approximately 30% to visit employees in both CONUS and OCONUS locations.
What You Will Do
Meet Employee Commitments
Manage a geographic dispersed, highly skilled team of Field Engineers maintaining and motivating a high performing team.
Responsible for program staffing: sourcing, interviewing, and working with Talent Acquisition to find qualified candidates to meet customer and contract requirements.
Manage entire Performance Development cycle and compensation planning (employee performance reviews, documenting and communicating disciplinary action, develop and implement improvement plans if needed etc.).
Support employees by finding and creating new career and development opportunities
Act a liaison between corporate and field team members.
Maintain a positive, supportive, and ethical culture.
Highlight and reward employee accomplishments and effectively communicate company information.
Meet Company Commitments
Know, communicate, and apply Raytheon policies, procedures and practices.
Work closely with functional organizations (Program Management Office, Human Resources, Security, EHS etc.) to resolve employee issues.
Ensure training compliance (Company mandated, IDP assistance/approval, etc.).
Responsible for managing overhead budgets, expense tracking, and minimizing unallowable costs
Develop basis of estimates and support proposal efforts
Meet Customer Commitments.
Support the success of programs (technical, cost, and schedule) through effective team management.
Participate in Program Reviews and customer meetings as needed.
Support proposal efforts through development of Basis of Estimates and other bid and proposal documents.
Advocate for process improvement (CORE) and implement efficiency measures.
Understand requirements and drivers for each program and provide input to the Program Office (cost, schedule, and performance).
Qualifications You Must Have
Requires a Bachelor's and a minimum of 8 prior relevant experience, an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 6 years' experience or at least 14 years directly related experience with no degree.
Experience with weapons systems and products in a field engineering role.
Experience in management, supervisory, or as a team lead.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with program management and/or certification.
Experience with Earned Value Management and/or certification.
Experience with international deployment.
Experience with foreign customer interfacing.
Experience in proposal writing and basis of estimate development.
Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills.
Experience with mentoring / coaching others.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to have challenging conversations.
Ability to build strong relationships with others at all levels.

Requires advanced to expert knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
May have broad knowledge of project management. Requires substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or
systems in order to provide enhancements within job area. Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years
prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a
minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
