Brief Department/Job Description

Enterprise Real Estate Services has an opening for a Project Estimator. This position is responsible for supporting Enterprise Real Estate Services Construction Project Delivery, Project Managers and Project Leadership and requires strong prior experience with construction projects.

JOB DESCRIPTION

What you will do:

Construction Estimator Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

  • Provides both Rough Order of Magnitudes (ROM) and high-level estimates and detailed estimates (using RSMeans data and historical data) for use in the submission of long-range planning and appropriation requisitions on infrastructure and building expansion construction projects.
  • Works with the cross-functional and project integration team(s) to ensure budgetary funds are appropriate.
  • Performs facilities site and area evaluations to provide accuracy of construction project estimates
  • Provides cost estimates with the engineering team for large infrastructure project evaluations.

Qualifications you must have

  • Bachelors degree and 8 or more years of relevant experience or and advanced degree and 5 years or relevant experience
  • Strong experience in providing cost estimation, take-offs, and construction cost assessments with small and large-scale facilities (vertical construction), horizontal construction (utilities and roadways), or real estate development and construction programs/projects for procurement/contracting, initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling and closeout phases of the project.
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues and make effective and persuasive presentations to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups.
  • In-depth knowledge of project financial terms and principles with the ability to analyze complex business/financial data and develop innovative solutions.
  • Demonstrates ability to identify complex project risks, lead constructability reviews, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks for client and company
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions.

Education Experience Skills and Certifications

  • This role typically requires a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, facilities, architecture, Construction Management, or related field and at least 8 years of relevant experience or and advance degree and 5 years of experience.

Required Security Clearance (If applicable)

  • This position requires the eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
