The Customer Support Engineering organization is looking for a Data Lead for the F119 Program

In this role, you will manage all engine data and be an integral part of the team responsible for sustaining and maturing the diagnostic and support systems necessary for successful operation of the F119 engine. This includes responsibility for the data flow from the field to the various data systems within Pratt & Whitney used in the Sustainment of the F119 engine fleet.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage the F119 engine data flow from the field to Pratt & Whitney
  • Update and manage configuration control of all data loading and processing scripts. Develop and manage new data tools to meet program goals and objectives for sustainment and data management.
  • Provide day-to-day technical support and demonstrate a sense of urgency in responding to P&W Field Service Representatives, USAF customers, program management, and safety mishap investigations. Provide technical support to Lockheed Martin and Boeing partners related to data flow and management integration issues.
  • Backup the IMIS (Lockheed Martin's Integrated Maintenance Information System) Administrator role. Be able to support IMIS hardware changes as well as software development. Development testing scripts and perform IMIS integration testing.
  • Coordinate, test, and validate data processing changes with engine logic and IMIS updates. Work with a cross functional team to ensure successful deployment of software updates. Travel to F119 sites in support of IMIS testing and upgrades.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science with 2+ years of relevant experience with knowledge of Python programming language with the ability to build and modify scripts for parsing files and accessing databases for data input and extraction as well as experience with UNIX/LINUX and SQL; or an advanced degree in engineering or computer science.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance is required.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Familiarity with VBA, .NET, Perl, Java, VBA, GitHub, C# and modern programming languages.
  • F135 Sustainment experience is desired.
  • Knowledge of engine systems operation, software development processes, and configuration management.
  • Ability to engage cross-functional teams, as needed, and knows when/where to get help; as well as working across functions, organizations and management.
  • Ability to execute work independently through complex technical decision-making.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills; and communication skills, including verbal, and technical writing.

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
