Our Collins Aerospace York, NE site is a manufacturer of highly engineered precision components supporting both commercial and military customers. Manufactured components are used primarily in generators and Ram Air Turbines (RAT) used for aircraft emergency power generation. Our Ram Air Turbines have been used to save aircrafts and over 2,600 lives.
Collins York is looking for a motivated and energetic person to join our 2nd shift. Operation of multiple plating lines including part masking, racking, processing, tank maintenance and monitoring of waste treatment. All work is done in a clean, climate-controlled facility where we put safety and quality first in everything we do.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare parts for required plating operations
- Mask parts as required per operational sketch
- Rack parts as required for plating process
- Follow plating process per plating specification
- Use a variety of hand tools
- Read and interpret process prints, engineering and quality standards, and other informational drawings and work instructions.
- Monitor dimensional tolerances and make process adjustments as necessary
- Dimensionally inspect parts to print specification and other requirements. Report non-conforming material via established process.
- Maintain accurate documentation and system inputs (shop traveler, labor charging, production tracking software, inspection results, etc.)
- Maintains work area to 5S requirements (see physical requirements)
- Completes required Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities at required intervals
- Follow proper material handling and packaging techniques to avoid damage (see physical requirements)
- Identify and report process inefficiencies, equipment issues, and improvement opportunities (QCPC turnbacks)
- Follow work priorities to accomplish production goals
- Obtain and maintain required inspection certification(s)
- Finishes parts that meet NADCAP requirements
- Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned
Qualifications / Experience Needed:
- Typically requires HS diploma or equivalent or in the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with basic hand tools.
- Experience with computer skills and ability to learn and use multiple computer applications (including email, internet, and other job-specific applications).
- Experience with mathematical calculations, including adding and subtracting decimals
- Experience with reading, interpreting and following blueprints.
