This role is critical in designing a future-ready ERP landscape, covering a range of ERP applications and ensuring alignment with our corporate transformation goals. What YOU will do:
- Lead the architecture journey for our SAP S/4 HANA initiatives, working collaboratively with peer architects, digital technology service owners and business leadership to ensure we architect for today and position the company for the future
- You will create and articulate Future State architecture using narrative documents, supported by a detailed strategy, which unifies relevant Architecture & Design artifacts enabling the program objectives.
- Facilitate development and review of ERP roadmaps that align with the company business & IT strategies, ensuring integration across the ERP ecosystem.
- Provide technical direction & guidance on SAP S/4 HANA as well as non-SAP ERP, focusing on integration, data management, migration, process standardization and application extensions to support operational efficiencies and achieve seamless interoperability.
- Partner with corporate, business unit DT teams, and external vendors to align ERP strategies, with a focus on optimizing the mix of SAP and non-SAP ERP solutions based on specific business needs and operational efficiencies
- Collaborate with Domain Architects such as Technology Solution Architects, peers in Security and Technical/Infrastructure Architecture, to refine and evolve the Solution architectures, Processes, and Practices, leveraging architectural frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman, DODAF, etc.)
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and approaches (e.g., API integrations, cloud solutions, RPA, AI) to enhance ERP functionality and ecosystem connectivity, supporting digital transformation and operational efficiency.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to ERP and ecosystem integration, ensuring that architecture decisions support scalability, data security, and regulatory compliance across various interconnected systems
Qualifications you must have:
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position (U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder).
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
- 8+ years of broad-based experience in ERP architecture, deployments, integration, or consulting, with extensive experience in implementing SAP S/4HANA for large complex organizations.
- In-depth knowledge of business processes for manufacturing, supply chain, product lifecycle, inventory management, quality control, and customer service, and the role of ERP in supporting these functions within aerospace and/or manufacturing domain.
- Proven track record as a Solution Architect or Technical Lead, crafting new solutions and delivering business outcomes.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- End-to-end S/4 HANA implementations from project preparation through go live.
- Experience with developing ERP solutions that facilitate M&A integration, data migration, and divestiture processes, ensuring continuity and minimizing disruption during transitions
- Strong knowledge of ERP integration patterns, cloud and hybrid architectures, API management, middleware, and data governance in multi-system environments.
- Experience with working on enterprise architecture frameworks (eg. TOGAF, Zachman, DoDAF, etc.). Certification in any of the framework's a plus.
- Experience with Agile development methodology and related environments (Jira, Azure DevOps)
- Strong understanding of business processes, particularly in supply chain, finance, manufacturing and the role of ERP systems in supporting these functions.
- Familiarity with the unique needs of manufacturing and aerospace, including compliance, quality management, and traceability

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
This position is remote; however, if you live within a reasonable commute of a Collins site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
