We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Director, Engineering Workforce Planning Process. This role will report into the Director of Engineering Cross Functional Excellence and is responsible for end-to-end Engineering workforce planning processes required to deliver to short-term and long-term business resource requirements and organizational goals. Additionally, this role is responsible for the development and implementation of workforce planning strategy, process, and tools for Raytheon Engineering.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of workforce planning and forecasting, and engineering supply assignment processes. This role requires cross-discipline and cross-functional collaboration in alignment with organizational goals to drive predictable engineering execution.

This is an onsite role based at any major Raytheon site including Tewksbury, MA; McKinney, TX; Tucson, AZ; Aurora, CO, El Segundo, CA.

What You Will Do

  • Lead a cross-discipline engineering team to mature the workforce planning process and associated standard work development, training, and change management. Supervision of up to 5 employees.
  • Participate as Engineering team member on Raytheon Workday Adaptive implementation initiative focused on process maturity, alignment, and change impact within Engineering
  • Participate as Engineering Representative on the Raytheon Workforce Planning Governance Council to drive alignment, provide oversight, and ensure adherence to workforce planning standards and best practices across the organization
  • Develop strategy and lead implementation to replace heritage Engineering workforce planning process and tools
  • Provide guidance to Engineering on workforce planning, labor analytics, and reporting requirements
  • Partner with Engineering Leadership, discipline process focal, Finance, Human Resources, and Performance Excellence to align on workforce planning process strategy and cadence
  • Engage with chief engineers, discipline leaders, and other functional leaders to ensure a robust cross functional matrix environment and aligned process roles and responsibilities
  • Influence workforce planning process within the RTX Lifecycle Program Management (RLPM) framework development, finance, and program management process and tool roadmaps
  • Leverage CORE operating systems to identify opportunities for process improvements within current workforce planning process and implement best practices
  • Drive annual goal alignment and service catalog update for Engineering workforce planning
  • Participate on Raytheon and RTX level cross functional governance and process teams as Engineering Representative
  • Travel up to 10%

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of twelve (12) years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience in a leadership role performing workforce planning processes, preferably within Engineering
  • Experience analyzing, interpreting, synthesizing and presenting complex Engineering workforce and operational information at all levels of the organization
  • Experience analyzing complex data sets and translating findings into strategic recommendations utilizing industry methods and software tools
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to various levels within the organization
  • Experience using CORE operating systems and kaizen events to drive process change
  • Experience developing process strategies and implementation plans
  • Change management and demonstrated ability to influence without authority
  • Strong project management, financial acumen skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
