We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic leader to fill the role of Engineering People Engagement Lead for our dynamic and innovative Raytheon engineering organization. As the Engagement Lead, you will be a key partner to the engineering executive leadership team, driving operational efficiency, fostering collaboration, and ensuring the successful creation and execution of Engineering employee engagement strategies and tactics. This is a high-impact role that requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, dynamic communication skills, and an understanding of engineering and technology. The Engagement Lead will develop and implement communication strategies to keep the Raytheon Engineering organization informed and enthusiastic about their role in Raytheon's success.
This is an onsite role based at any Raytheon office within the continental United States including but not limited to Tucson, AZ; El Segundo, CA; Tewksbury, MA; Dallas, TX; Aurora, CO.
Responsibilities to Anticipate
- Partner with and support RTX Corporate and Global Communications team to create and implement engagement strategies that support Raytheon Engineering organizational goals which include messaging approaches for various meetings and digital distribution platforms
- Develop messaging, presentations, and remarks for Raytheon Engineering leadership, ensuring alignment with organizational messaging and tone and in partnership with the Global Communications team
- Write, edit, and prepare employee communications, including newsletters, mass emails, LinkedIn posts, and employee meeting materials for dissemination through organizational communication channels
- Manage the Raytheon Engineering SharePoint to create an engaging and informative interface for employees
- Develop, plan, and facilitate or support events, workshops, and other activities to promote and support the mission, objectives, and business goals of the organization
- Partner with engineering project leads to develop change management plans, including identifying stakeholders, training, coaching, and communications needs
- Gather metrics to assess the effectiveness of internal Raytheon Engineering communications and prepare regular reports and presentations for executive leadership summarizing key metrics, achievements, and challenges
- Work closely with the VP of Engineering and other senior Engineering leaders, providing support on day-to-day activities and strategic priorities
- Act as a liaison between different disciplines within the engineering organization, fostering collaboration and communication in a dynamic & rapidly changing environment
- Travel up to 20% within the U.S.
Basic Qualifications
- Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience in communications, journalism, business, or a related field
- Experience developing internal engagement and communication strategies
- Experience collaborating with multi-functional teams
- Experience in project management and process optimization
- Experience developing content and delivering material through various communication platforms such as Microsoft SharePoint, Zoom, Azure, or similar applications
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of related experience in media relations, public affairs, employee communications, digital and social media, proposal/customer messaging and marketing communications
- Ability to work effectively in a culture strongly rooted in the intelligence community, DoD and with technically oriented business and program leaders
- A high level of energy, commitment and passion to achieve results and the ability to work within urgent deadlines
- Self-motivated and the ability to work without continuous management oversight
- Capable to work under pressure and with many styles of executives, program managers and subject matter experts, both at the corporate and business levels
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
