The Systems Integration & Test: Environments Center includes all the engineering disciplines responsible for systems design & test on all Raytheon products. Our engineers are responsible for all elements of the development lifecycle for test including test requirements, test system design, flight simulations, hardware-in-the-loop, computer-in-the-loop, advanced engineering prototyping technology, flight operations for manned and unmanned vehicles, environmental testing, environmental characterization, and engineering laboratory management. We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrate state of the art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world.

Raytheon is seeking an Environmental Test Facility/Counter Support employee to manage and implement engineering lab strategic projects and day-to-day administrative functions within multiple engineering labs, with specific focus on safety, security, and compliance using established doctrine and governance. You will be creative and innovative, possessing strong organizational, coordination, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills. In the position, you must be able to collaborate with customers, employees, and senior leaders when implementing process and procedural changes.
This position is an onsite, 1st shift, role in Tucson, AZ.
What You Will Do:
- Assist Lab Leads in applying Lab Operating Procedure (LOP) Management; provide direction for lab users on established policies.
- Assist with management, coordination and implementation of Environment Health Safety and Sustainment.
- Assist with Property & Metrology Management.
- Provide process support to Supply Chain Management (SCM).
- Safeguarding of classified/proprietary material, hardware, and documentation, utilizing defense material/property under Export Administration Regulations.
- Work to influence stakeholders within and outside responsible area at an operational level regarding policies, practices, and procedures.
- Work autonomously with limited oversight; provide professional input, guidance, and problem solving.
- This position requires some physical exertion while standing, sitting, or walking, working outside.
- Local travel in the general area is required, with occasional travel outside the local area.
What You Will Learn:
- Time management skills resulting from broad administrative management responsibilities.
- Understanding of Engineering Lab processes and management.
- Operating Systems related to property management, tool control, and accesses.
- Diverse horizontal and vertical communication skills.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in Engineering lab environment such as: safety, security, compliance and/or property management.
- Active and transferrable US government issued Secret security clearance (not interim) is required prior to start date. US citizenship is required, as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Strong Customer Service skill and communication.
- Working knowledge of tools and equipment used in Environmental Test operations.
- Experience with working directly with engineers, technicians and leadership in an engineering lab environment.
- Ability to build positive, lasting relationships with customers.
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong understanding and experience with Metrology, calibration practices, and preparing assets for such.

The salary range for this role is 50,000 USD - 100,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
