What You Will Do
Pratt & Whitney seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Engineer II to support the Engine Design & Systems Integration (EDSI) area. The EDSI organization is a multi-functional group that provides system level engineering solutions to meet customer requirements.
- Perform low to medium complexity analytical simulations and performance and operability studies.
- Perform low to medium complexity steady state and transient performance comparison packages which can include data vs. simulation, model to model, control to control, and engine to engine.
- Support low to medium complexity customer requirements and validate results for onsite engine testing, reduction of steady state and transient data, and other requirements as necessary.
- Create engine trending packages to monitor engine health.
- Revision of test procedures and instrumentations.
- Support change requests to models to validate expected results.
- Support requirement management, systems, and design integration activities.
- English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English.
- Based on business needs, the incumbent may be required to support other duties/functions within the company and have availability to travel up to 10% domestically.
Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- 2 years of engineering experience, or an Advanced Degree in engineering with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

EDSI is responsible for the integration of components, modules, and sub-systems into world class commercial and military propulsion systems.
