What You Will Do:

This role will coordinate and lead EH&S activities and is responsible for site environmental, health and safety programs and tasks in the areas of facilities waste management, hazard identification and control, EH&S training, policy interpretation and communication and metric tracking.

  • Coordination and communication of environmental, health and safety related policies, procedures, and activities in partnership with EH&S team and manager.
  • Identify, monitor, control, communicate and document potential hazards.
  • Monitor, document and report EH&S metrics to determine the effectiveness of daily operations.
  • Conduct EH&S training including Powered Industrial Vehicle On-The-Job (OJT) training.
  • Conduct regular, scheduled internal EH&S audits for the site.
  • Prepare reports and recommend corrective actions for incidents, inspections, and/or environmental monitoring results.
  • Prepare, maintain and update environmental, health and/or safety policy and procedural manuals under the direction of site EH&S Manager.
  • Emergency Response team member assisting in emergency events with internal and external business partners.
  • Coordinate EH&S tasks and activities to assure compliance with EH&S regulations; to minimize the company's impact on the environment, and to protect employees regarding industrial accidents/incidents and occupational and environmental health hazards.
  • Assist management with Point of Generation (POG) program including industrial waste handling, wastewater management and storage and shipments.
  • Assist management with recycling program including carbides, plastics and pallets.
  • Complete paperwork, post EH&S signage, label and organize EH&S systems/programs.
  • 1st shift Monday-Friday 6:30am-3:00pm. Occasional Saturdays as needed.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Must be a United States Citizen due to government contracts.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • 3 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in handling industrial waste and compliance
  • Basic computer aptitude with the ability to navigate Microsoft Office programs
  • Strong knowledge of EH&S and Facilities compliance programs
  • Solid knowledge of EH&S standards - RTX EHS Management System ISO 14001 OSHA VPP
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • DOTCRA training completion or ability to gain training.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
