What You Will Do
- SSIPT (Subsystem Integrated Product Team) Leaders in P&W are responsible for the following (per PW 4.26 L2 Attachment 2):
- Ensure a functionally capable subsystem meeting all of its requirements.
- Ensure subsystem team has representation from all of the suppliers of component parts and critical disciplines.
- Function as or appoint a SSIPT member to represent SSIPT to SIPT and SITs as point of contact for subsystem.
- Define and manage the subsystem definition (control volume) and create and update a schematic of all component subsystem parts.
- Manage subsystem requirements validation, flow of decomposed subsystem. requirements to all subsystem component suppliers and ensure verification efforts are complete working with component suppliers.
- Identify key learning required for subsystem and that appropriate tests and verification are done to complete the key learning.
- Collaborate with team members to meet SSIPT milestones and deliverables including subsystem capability assessments including reliability maintainability and safety assessments.
- Coordinate activities with EDSIT or TSIT and CIPTs on integration and trade-off considerations.
- Track, update and manage subsystem risks and gap closure plans.
- Develop and execute subsystem intellectual property strategy.
- Ensure subsystem technology insertion plans are in place and managed working with CIPTs as applicable to the subsystem.
- Ensure physical and functional subsystem interfaces meet requirements.
- Support identification and development of subsystem design tools as needed.
- Manage airframe integration, if required.
- Manage subsystem data storage and digital work area.
- Accountable to the Chief Systems Engineer for ensuring a functionally capable. subsystem that meets program requirements.
- Additionally, the ECU (Engine Core Upgrade) Controls & Electrical (C&E) SSIPT Leader will have the following responsibilities:
- Hold team accountable for execution of all control system and electrical tasks for ECU
- Own Allocated PIPS (Primary Requirement Owner - PRO) Control System and Electrical/Electronics Requirements
- Own Specification to system, system to sub-system flow-down, decomposition, validation, verification and compliance. (PIPS, SDD, MRD)
- Include validation testing during EMD phase and ISR readiness in plan.
- Execute on plan to include JPO alignment
- Integrate across all CIPTs, systems teams, and sustainment
- Own, write and get agreement internal and external of all PSIP paragraphs for all PRO Requirements
- JPO integration for alignment on PSIP methodology
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's of Science Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- 10 years of Engineering experience, or 7 years with an advanced degree.
- U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Bachelor's or an advanced degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering
- Demonstrated leadership roles within an RTX Engineering organization

- Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
- Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
