What You Will Do:

  • Influence and drive change in an evolving organization reliant on NPI and high-volume production.
  • Utilize CORE tools to optimize processes, reduce costs, and standardize operations across business units.
  • Ensure seamless workflow between sites, optimizing processes and inventory management to meet customer demands.
  • Apply knowledge of SIOP and standard processes to manage complex vertically integrated manufacturing operations.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for customer communications, providing updates on manufacturing progress and supporting new product costing estimates and contract negotiations.
  • Lead and improve site-wide Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and quality performance, ensuring adherence to operational procedures.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging aggressive Root Cause Corrective Actions (RRCA) and implementing real-time performance metrics.
  • Manage large operational budgets and capital projects, utilizing strong project management skills to ensure timely and efficient execution.
  • Participate in the Tier Gemba process and mentor teams to drive improvements and enhance performance.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum 14 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years experience
  • Manufacturing industry experience
  • Experience managing a manufacturing site/facility
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Lean/Six Sigma certified or trained
  • Experience with data analysis and performance metrics
  • Air cargo industry experience
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed teams
  • P&L experience

The salary range for this role is 171,000 USD - 343,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
