The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services, Research Center or BBN team:

We are looking for a Director, Financial Reporting & Consolidations (FR&C) who will lead the team responsible for RTX's external filings with the SEC, including Forms 10-Q/K and 8-K, and RTX's financial consolidation and internal financial reporting. This role will report into the Executive Director, Financial Reporting and Holding Companies and will be a critical leader within the RTX Controllers team with high visibility to the Corporate Controller. This role requires frequent cross-functional interaction with Investor Relations, Legal, Financial Planning & Analysis, Tax, and Treasury, as well as the Finance/Controllers teams at the RTX business units, and RTX's external auditors.

The role will require periodic on-site presence in Farmington, CT.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the quarterly consolidation of RTX's financial results in OneStream
  • Ensure accurate and timely filings of the Form 10-K and 10-Q
  • Review consolidated RTX financial statements and footnotes and associated internal financial analyses to support the quarterly closing process
  • Lead/primarily support reviews of RTX SEC filings with the RTX CFO, RTX Disclosure Committee, business unit Controller teams, and external auditors
  • Support communications prepared for the RTX Audit Committee regarding quarterly financial results and external reporting
  • Present in various meetings including with senior leaders
  • Support the quarterly earnings release process and other external communications through partnering with Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, Legal, and various other business partners
  • Lead ad-hoc projects related to RTX financial reporting, including implementation of new accounting standards and/or SEC reporting requirements, financial reporting system projects, debt offerings, M&A support, etc.
  • Support the use of CORE process improvement tools to evaluate and improve processes
  • Oversee the annual RTX savings plans audits and preparation of financial statements on Form 11-K
  • Support the annual Proxy Statement filing and Annual Report
  • Lead, train, develop and mentor a team of six accounting professionals

Required Qualifications:

  • This role typically requires a Bachelors' degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field and 14 years' experience or an Advanced degree in an applicable field and 12 years' experience.
  • 8+ years' experience reviewing consolidated financial statements and footnotes and internal financial analyses in support of the monthly and/or quarterly closing process.
  • Demonstrated significant experience reviewing SEC filings, presenting and interacting with senior leadership, business unit controller teams and external auditors.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • CPA preferred
  • Experience with Workiva (SEC reporting tool) preferred
  • Experience with OneStream consolidation tool preferred
  • Experience with XBRL preferred

The salary range for this role is 176,000 USD - 352,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
