The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services:

RTX has an opening for a Director, SAP Data Migration Leader - S4 HANA (Director, Business Systems and Transformation) who will play a critical role in overseeing and executing the data migration strategy for the ERP (PST) Program.

Lead a team of data migration specialists responsible for the overall management of the Syniti Data Migration platform. Work closely with Business Unit (BU) Digital Technology (DT) teams, Data Owners, ERP Process SMEs, and cross-functional teams such as Infrastructure, Basis, and Security to ensure the successful cleansing & migration of data from legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA.

What You Will Do:

Lead Data Cleansing & Migration Efforts:

  • Develop, execute, and manage the data cleansing & migration strategy, methodology, playbooks to ensure data is accurately and efficiently cleansed & migrated from legacy systems to the SAP S/4HANA platform.
  • Oversee all data migration activities, including data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading (ETL), ensuring data quality, integrity, and alignment with business requirements.

Syniti Data Migration Platform Ownership:

  • Own the Syniti Data Migration platform, ensuring optimal performance, configuration, and utilization to support all phases of data migration.
  • Collaborate with Syniti and other platform vendors to ensure tools are configured and used to their maximum potential.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead a team of data migration specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Foster a collaborative working environment, ensuring that team members have clear roles, responsibilities, and goals for the project.
  • Manage resource allocation and workload distribution to ensure on-time, high-quality data migration deliverables.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with BU Data teams, Data Owners, and Functional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to align data cleansing efforts with business and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure, Basis, and Security teams to ensure that data cleansing & migration processes adhere to security standards and operational requirements.

Data Quality and Validation:

  • Implement data quality standards, validation processes, and governance frameworks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data before migration.
  • Develop and execute testing strategies to validate data post-migration, collaborating with data owners and functional teams to address any issues.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all data readiness related matters, communicating progress, risks, and issues to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates to the program leadership on the status of data readiness efforts and escalate issues as needed.

Risk Management and Troubleshooting:

  • Identify risks related to data cleansing, migration, propose mitigation strategies, and resolve issues that arise during the migration process.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data extraction, transformation, and loading in collaboration with technical teams.

Travel up to 10% Domestically

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Minimum 12+ years' experience in data migration for large-scale ERP Programs (SAP/S4 HANA) and a bachelors' degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Mathematics (STEM) or Business, or a related field or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree; Advanced degree and 10+ year's related work experience.
  • Experience with ETL processes, data cleansing, and data validation techniques.
  • Familiarity with data management tools like Informatica and SAP Data Services.
  • Expertise with Data Migration platform like Syniti or similar data migration tools.
  • Current U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data cleansing and migration for S/4 ERP programs in the manufacturing or defense industries.
  • Experience in Syniti platform.
  • Knowledge of ITAR, GDPR, PII, DFARS, NIST, or other data protection regulations relevant to data migration.

The salary range for this role is 176,000 USD - 352,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
