The team supports groups within Digital Technology, the Business functions, the Programs and the Raytheon data Citizen IT communities. What You Will Do

Raytheon Digital Technologies is seeking a Data Self-Service Support Specialist who will be responsible for supporting, optimizing and automating software configurations as well as maintaining and providing guidance to our citizen developer and user communities on our internal Business Intellegence tools and platforms. Our team provides application administration and end user support for data analysis, reporting and dashboarding technologies using SAP BusinessObjects, Tableau, Analysis for Office, SAP Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports Alteryx and Power BI. This person will have responsibility, along with other members of the team, to support these platforms by providing analysis, troubleshooting, best practices, and issue resolution for users of these tools and systems, analytics and metrics tracking for these systems as well as user roles/privileges/security and networking across on-prem and cloud environments. Additional responsibilities will include supporting client connectivity needs across a range of database technologies including Oracle, SQL, SAP Business Warehouse and Snowflake, hosted across a set of on-prem and cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure.

In addition, this person will be required to collaborate with other business solution providers to ensure that future release roadmaps and upgrade schedules are planned. This is required to ensure compatibility and integration with current offerings, as well as mitigation of any regressions/obstacles that result from any proposed patches, upgrades or introductions of new technologies, ensuring peak operating performance.

To succeed in this position, this person must be able to perform complex tasks with established deadlines, work independently as well as within project teams, and be responsible to identify, architect, test, develop and deploy customized automation solutions which simplify and improve user support and integration for tools and platforms supported by the Data Tools and Platforms team.

As a Data Self-Service Support Specialist, you would be responsible for:

User Account Management:

  • Create and maintain user accounts in the Data Tools and Platforms supported tool suites.
  • Handle user onboarding and offboarding processes for those tools.
  • Ensure accurate user information and permissions.

Permissions and Access Control:

  • Work closely with system administrators, data owners, governance resources (EXIM, Legal, etc.) to manage permissions.
  • Add or remove permissions from user accounts as needed.
  • Collaborate with other teams to define and enforce access policies.

Platform Administration:

  • Support the daily operations of the Data Tools and Platforms supported tool suites.
  • Troubleshoot user issues related to access, permissions, and functionality.
  • Monitor system performance and address any issues promptly.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and legal/compliance/governance teams.
  • Communicate effectively with users to address their needs and provide assistance.
  • highly interactive with end users to analyze and troubleshoot user issues and provide solutions in a timely manner

Data Compliance:

  • Understand the legal and ethical use of data.
  • Ensure that data access is granted only to authorized users for valid reasons.
  • Uphold privacy and security standards.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Data Science or a related field and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Experience with BI reporting /dashboarding tools and administration such as: SAP BusinessObjects, SAP Web Intelligence/Analysis for Office/Universe, SAP Information Design Tool, Tableau and Power BI as well as any Alteryx or workflow process clones
  • Experience in administering data tools
  • Software development and scripting for administration and automation experience
  • Experience with any cloud-based applications such as Power Automate, Power BI, etc.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with networking protocols and topology as well as basic firewall concepts
  • Experience applying data warehousing concepts and engineering principles
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies
  • ETL and data cleansing tools like Alteryx and ERWIN
  • SAP NetWeaver BI, BEx, MDX and SAP HANA Studio
  • Microsoft Power Platform and SharePoint integration
  • CRM and DevOps systems such as ServiceNow and JIRA
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills
  • Familiar with access controls within Databricks
  • Familiar with Active Directory and LDAP, using groups and roles.
  • Familiar with Ping Federate Identity management

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
