What You Will Do:

  • Review internal and supplier documentation to assure adequacy of definition, and conformance to contractual, regulatory and P&W requirements.
  • Plan and schedule internal and supplier audits according to the program's system and software release schedule
  • Perform audits of the Embedded and Modeling software processes and the Process Assurance function for compliance to contractual, regulatory and approved plans and standards.
  • Generate associated Software Quality Assurance records in a timely manner
  • Participate in associated program and customer reviews
  • Participate in test witnessing activities, when and where applicable
  • Participate as an integral member of the program's Integrated Product Teams
  • Collect and analyze process data, and generate presentation material for Supervisor, Management and Customers.
  • Evaluate proposed correction and corrective action plans and its effectiveness at correcting and eliminating the root cause of identified discrepancies.
  • Ensure that the necessary correction and corrective actions are implemented and are effective.
  • Drive process improvements and defects elimination within the Software Quality Assurance function
  • Approval of software for external release to both military and commercial customers
  • Support external certification audits from the company's certification body.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 8+years of Engineering experience or 5+years with an advanced degree
  • Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management.
  • Knowledge of programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Typically requires a degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
