Cold Section Engineering (CSE) is looking for a highly motivated and experienced engineer to join its team as an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leader for an Advanced Engines Fan/HPC modules. The IPT Leader will be responsible for part-level, Fan Split Case, HPC Split Case, Intermediate Case, FIVV Actuation, and First Fan Stator ownership within the Fan/HPC Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT). Responsibilities include task planning and execution to ensure the IPT achieves overall component goals. This role will include direct interfacing opportunities with engineering management, program management, suppliers, and customers. The successful candidate will be able to lead a diverse team of individuals to meet requirements and achieve goals. Preferred skills include a focus on results, technical proficiency, and an effective communicator to own the IPT to meet the bold demands of this military engine program. Experience in design, manufacture, development, validation, entry into service and support of field service issues is preferred.
What You Will Do
- Accountable to CIPT for part level ownership, including communication, risk management and execution to program requirements;
- Responsible for delivery assurance, supply chain sourcing and capacity assessment, ensuring timely transition executions and obtaining action plans and drive key actions to closure;
- Lead the IPT in management and closure of key technical risks / issues. Also, lead the IPT through successful technical and program reviews;
- Lead IPT budgets and schedule to program requirements as well as lead IPT technical and business metrics to requirements;
- Participate in Customer, SIPT, IPMT and Senior Management interaction and presentations as well as provide technical support for validation engine build and engine test activities;
- There is less than 10% US domestic travel associated with this role.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent experience, and 8+ years of prior relevant experience OR;
- Master of Science Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent experience, and 5+ years of prior relevant experience;
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- A basic understanding of the P&W Leadership Operating Model (LOM);
- Demonstrated ability to engage cross-functional teams, as needed, and knows when/where to get help;
- Demonstrated effectiveness in working across functions, organizations and management;
- Demonstrated ability to execute work independently, provide technical guidance to P1/P2 engineers;
- Demonstrated ability to independently make decisions;
- Demonstrated ability to define and plan technical path for medium scale tasks as well as focus on results with the ability to drive tasks to closure;
- Ability to contribute to Engineering Knowledge System (EKS) content;
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills; and communication skills, including verbal, technical writing and engineering presentations to all levels of engineering and program management;
- Thorough understanding of continuous improvement principles (e.g. ACE, QCPC);
- Proficiency in use of program/project management tools (e.g. SAP, EVMS, Teamcenter);
- Experience with compressor component design/development preferred.

Compression Systems Engineering (CSE)
Compression Systems Engineering is responsible for the design, development, and in service support of all fans low-pressure and high-pressure compressors for commercial and military engine models. CSE is responsible for the identification and maturation of new technologies for these products.
Technical disciplines in CSE include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, and Product Definition.
Aftermarket and Sustainment Engineering executes both military and commercial repair design and repairs substantiations for engines. We create and improve ASE business and repair development tools. We design, develop, and qualify military repair tooling.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
