We have an exciting remote opportunity for a Counsel, Data Privacy and Cybersecurity to join our team!

What You Will Do:

As Associate Director and Counsel for Data Privacy and Cybersecurity, you will serve as a subject matter expert on Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Law within the Pratt & Whitney Legal, Contracts and Compliance (LCC) organization and advise and counsel Pratt & Whitney and its businesses on all aspects of Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Law. While this role covers both Data Privacy and Cybersecurity, a large majority of the time and work will focus on Data Privacy, roughly a 75%/25% split.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Advise and counsel Pratt & Whitney and its businesses on all aspects of data privacy and cybersecurity law, focusing on incident response, compliance, and transactions and contracts
• Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of data privacy and cybersecurity policies, standard work, playbooks, guidance, templates, and other documentation
• Develop and deliver training on data privacy and cybersecurity law including assisting with the development and delivery of general awareness training for employees, contractors, and third parties
• Provide legal advice and counsel on all aspects of data privacy and cybersecurity incident response, and be responsible for ensuring timely satisfaction of legal reporting obligations
• Conduct privacy impact assessments and regular compliance-related risk assessments and develop and implement action plans

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.) and 10+ years of legal experience, including 5+ years of relevant legal experience at a law firm, USG and/or in-house - including experience advising and counseling clients on data privacy, cybersecurity and/or data protection matters
• Good standing with a state bar association and in-house counsel registration in a timely manner following hire
• U.S Person (U.S Citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder), Refugee or Asylee) required, due to government contracts, programs and projects

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience working in both corporate and business legal functions
• Experience advising and counseling clients on data privacy and/or cybersecurity incident response, compliance, and aspects of transactions and contracts
• Strong investigative, analytical, written and oral communication skills
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability and ability to make decisions efficiently and quickly
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment while organizing and managing multiple responsibilities and projects with competing priorities and deadlines
• Effective team builder and team player that fosters collaborative relationships

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
