What You Will Do

Pratt & Whitney seeks a motivated and detail-oriented engineering student to support Engine Design and Systems Integration (EDSI) activities. The EDSI organization is a multi-functional group that provides system level engineering solutions to meet customer requirements.

  • Candidates should have successfully demonstrated analytical and mathematical modeling skills to solve problems and the ability to work at an implementation level.
  • Support system design integration and requirement management activities.
  • Attend and participate in group meetings, teleconferences and/or training.
  • Responsible for making minor changes or enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve the effectiveness of the work area.
  • Based on business needs, the incumbent may be required to support other duties/functions within the company.
  • English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Strong knowledge in Thermodynamics and Fluids Mechanics.
  • Ability to work onsite full-time in a classified environment.
  • Understanding of gas turbine jet engines.
  • Knowledge in C++, Python, MATLAB or VBA programming.
  • Knowledge in Data Analytics or Machine Learning
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
