What you will do:
- Support lifing systems and structural analysis tools to enable safe, reliable designs.
- Aid in vibration, fatigue, and fracture mechanics tasks to support Module Centers customers on structural engineering of new designs, engine development plans, and production / field issues.
- Maintain trust of regulatory and military customers with respect to structural integrity through consistent teaming, communication, and reporting.
- Support product regulatory certification to meet customer needs.
- Structural Validation Data Management.
- Pre/Post Test Data Processing & Fatigue Analysis support.
- Engineering expertise in fatigue, fracture mechanics, burst.
- English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Senior student enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical, Structural or Aerospace Engineering
- Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Experience with software and programing languages. ANSYS, Workbench, ABAQUS, PATRAN / NASTRAN, APDL, MATLAB, VBA, Python, C++, Fortran, MS Office, NX
Preferred Qualifications:
- Gas turbine experience
- Strong analytical thinking, communication, interpersonal, time management and organizational skills
- Team oriented and cultural awareness
- The ability to craft clear communication and build positive relationships
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
