Job Summary

Nightwing CODEX (Cyber Offense and Defense Experts) bring together an elite team of mission-focused industry experts who are well known for their ability to overcome the most advanced technical challenges. Where pushing the limits of our technical ability is the norm. Occasional failure does not deter us. True innovation comes from trying new things and seeing what works. CODEX is looking for interns interested in developing technologies to defend, attack and exploit computer networks as Computer Network Operations (CNO) Programmers. Applicants are expected to understand operating systems and software internals. They should be comfortable developing in C, C++, assembly language, networking, and basic reverse engineering concepts. Interns will also need to be able to test and validate their code demonstrates the preferred behavior on a wide range of technologies to ensure interoperability.

This position is an onsite role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Operating Systems Internals (i.e. Windows, MacOS)
  • Ability to understand how malicious code (e.g. Malware) works and able to extract unique features to generate a signature
  • Experience reading or writing assembly (x86, x64, ARM, PPC, MIPS, SPARC, 68k, or others)
  • Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP stacks, wire-level protocols, RF communications, BGP, routing protocols, or others)
  • Understanding of exploit mitigations such as DEP and ASLR
  • Experience using reverse engineering tools such as IDA Pro, HexRays, Ghidra, Binary Ninja, or objdump
  • Experience using debuggers such as gdb, WinDbg, OllyDbg
  • Experience with modern C++ development, such as RAII, C++11 and C++14

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in software development using C, C++, C#, Objective C, or Asembly
  • Experience using a development environment such as Visual Studio, VSCode, Eclipse
  • Scripting experience with Python, Ruby, or JavaScript
  • Must be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Masters degree program in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)

The salary range for this role is - . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
