Job Summary: The principal duties of this position are to perform advanced inspection processes at Columbus Engine Center. Mastering the use of a variety of tooling and measurement equipment to accomplish inspection processes will be required. In addition, the incumbent will be required to interpret technical data in various forms, in order to validate engine configuration. Excellent interpersonal, planning and organizational skills are needed for a team-oriented environment.

This is a 1st Shift position: Monday - Thursday 5 am - 3:30 pm

Employees must remain in their role for 12 months before posting to a new position and must attach a current resume to be considered.

What You Will Do:

  • Set-up and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to perform calibration of test and measurement equipment and / or inspect customer parts
  • Appropriately log and communicate results and out-of-spec parts. Review schedules and assist in planning, coordinating and utilizing resources daily to meet company and customer commitment
  • Communicate within and outside of the quality department to report on parts status
  • Assist in resolution of operational, quality, and/or maintenance resource issues when they arise
  • Report maintenance related issues with equipment to appropriate personnel
  • Work on continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1+ years' experience inspecting aircraft parts
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Value:

  • Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License or 2+ years' relevant experience preferred.
  • Turbine engine overhaul, inspection and repair experience, precision measuring tool usage, preferred in one or more of the following disciplines: Disassembly, Inspection, Assembly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP
