The CODEX DOD Portfolio lead will oversee and be responsible for the business commitments of a portfolio of advanced research and development contracts in the Offensive Cyber Security market segment. Candidate will be expected to effectively communicate with their PMs, program teams, functional leadership/partners and the CODEX LT to achieve successful program deliveries within the budget and cost constraints of each program that each Program Manager on their team is leading.

Reporting to the Director of CODEX the DOD Portfolio lead will have P&L responsibility for meeting or exceeding the 2023 Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long-Range Plan (LRP) for the CODEX DOD Portfolio of business. Leads a team of 9 Program Managers and works closely with functional POCs supporting the portfolio, with oversight responsibility for managing the 20+ active CODEX DOD programs to deliver mission success to our DoD Customers.
The Candidate will require the ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively. Excellent communication skills are essential for building and maintaining internal team, customer relationships, and geographically separated teams.
The Candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively with program managers, program teams and develop excellent and lasting relationships with customers. It is anticipated that the DOD Portfolio lead will focus, evaluate, motivate and reward the program managers and their teams, enabling them to achieve desired results. Although not required, it is desired that the candidate have direct experience with short duration, fast-paced government software research and development contracts where innovation and creativity is required to achieve program success.
The qualified candidate will also support new business pursuits and business growth objectives. The Candidate must have experience from strategy to shaping opportunities to leading and developing a proposal response including technical, management and financial aspects. Must be willing to travel for customer meetings, program level meetings, etc in support of program execution and growth. Approximately 25-30% travel for customer engagement purposes. Maintaining superior customer relationships will be essential. Candidate will be responsible for the financial performance of multiple programs, meeting customer requirements, understanding the complete state of the portfolio's programs, and developing adjacent market and direct follow-on opportunities

Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years' experience.
At a minimum an Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

The salary range for this role is 158,000 USD - 316,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
