We're looking for an intern to join our team. If you are a student interested in gaining experience in a fast-paced work environment, this role is for you. We need someone who is self- motivated and passionate, willing to help solve problems, provide technical support to operations/support staff, and find ways to continuously improve our processes and procedures. The candidate will work with Management, Service Engineering, Quality, Customer Service, Environmental Health & Safety (EH &S), and Project Management to control cost, find cost reduction, support inventory control and resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways.

What You Will Do:

  • Gain Facilities experience by creating/updating Computer-Aided Design (CAD) site maps while receiving career mentorship opportunities with experienced Collins Aerospace Industrial Engineers
  • Collaborate with Operations by identifying / resolving obstacles to minimize disruption in the repair process and managing test station repair schedules that sustain our service center operations
  • Team with Managers and Leads, while using a CORE mindset, to manage medium-complexity service center projects that will solve operational inefficiencies and boost productivity
  • Integrate with Customer Service to extract and analyze SAP Repair Transaction Processes data to propose process improvements that will maximize on time delivery
  • Facilitate GEMBA/Quality Clinic walks with our Quality team to collect/analyze error data to improve repair quality & safe maintenance practices

What You Will Learn:

  • How to create and update Computer-Aided Design (CAD) maps of the site
  • Data Analysis and Process Improvement through engagements with multiple teams
  • Project Management and Service Engineering experience in support of test station management
  • Error collection & analysis during our Quality Clinic discussions and GEMBA walks
  • Career Development through mentorship and potential full-time employment

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. Must be a commutable distance to Atlanta, GA to work an onsite schedule. This position may be eligible for relocation.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
