Raytheon's Mission Capability Verification Center (MCVC) located on White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), New Mexico is seeking an experienced hands-on engineering leader to join our Systems Integration & Test (SI&T) Team. The candidate will lead the MCVC Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor (LTAMDS) team of SI&T field systems engineers. The candidate will be responsible for radar level testing, sell-off, and mission system scenario planning and execution across WSMR and other various geographically dispersed test facilities. The position requires working both in a remote site office environment and in the field supporting test events and missions. Candidates will lead and collaborate with multi-disciplined Raytheon engineers, Test Architects, and Chief Engineers. As well as, interface directly with the Raytheon and customer program offices, customer's teams, WSMR range and test facilities partners, as well as direct interface with soldiers.

What You Will Do
The Associate Director is the "face" of Raytheon's LTAMDS program at WSMR and interfaces frequently with the Engineering Leaders, Program Leaders, and cross-disciplined leads. The Associate Director will also have daily interface with our government counterparts on the range to include WSMR test engineers, Commanders, and Generals. This position also plays an integral role as a participating member of the MCVC Leadership Team with additional responsibilities in AS9100 compliance, Safety & Wellness Committees, and various employee engagement events/activities.
- Plan and execute the integration and test scope for LTAMDS fielded radars and supporting equipment across multiple dispersed WSMR sites and remote test facilities
- Build and maintain relationships with our range and test facility partners
- Provide leadership and guidance to the SI&T teams in preparation for high visibility complex test activities and mission events
- Provide input as a thought leader to future LTAMDS integration and test strategy and planning ensuring site(s), team, and system readiness to support the execution of SI&T scope on LTAMDS LRIP events
- Mentoring and developing SI&T engineers across all areas of LTAMDS integration and test roles
- Travel across WSMR, US, and abroad as required. Up to 50% travel periodically can be expected
- Work in remote/hazardous locations in proximity to energized equipment, radar radiation, and unexploded ordnance environments
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
- Typically requires 12+ years of prior experience in Systems Engineering and/or Systems Integration, Verification, and Validation OR an Advanced Degree and 10 years of prior experience.
- 12+ years of experience in radar Systems Integration, Verification, and Validation
- Experience leading a technical team in an integration lab, test facility, or in the field including responsibilities for technical, cost, and schedule performance and coordination of efforts with internal and external stakeholders. Program Management certification or equivalent.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U. S. Citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
- 15 years of experience in a leadership capacity with oversight of radar hardware operations, maintenance, and integration.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a geographically dispersed team
- Test Architect experience and/or certification
- Knowledge of Raytheon's proposal capture process and the development of Basis of Estimates
- Proven success in process improvement efforts and leading change

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
